Photograph caption dated May 28, 1958 reads "Lone fireman braves intense heat generated by fire which swept through $150,000 Paramount Citrus Packing Co. at 1400 Truman St., San Fernando, early today. Flames boiled skyward leaping up 100 feet as smoke left heavy trail across eastern San Fernando Valley. Traffic was detoured from U.S. Highway 99 in downtown heart of San Fernando for several hours. Several blocks were without electricity because of burned power lines. Fire officials said wind helped fan blaze."
