Gordon Clark discusses his book of photography, “Transitions.” He begins by talking about different regions of Africa and how they differ in custom and culture. He gives an example of how the people of Namibia dress like English people of the Victorian era to show their class and status. Clark talks about how most of these tribes are isolated and there is little fighting or competition among them. He talks about how he processed the pictures differently, and used certain colors and tones to evoke the mood of the people. He ends the interview by talking about famous Americans who have felt a connection to Africa, and how Oprah Winfrey wrote the foreword to this book.
