Description
A corner of Lee de Forest's Radio Telephone Company laboratory and work shop, 103 Park Avenue, New York City, in 1907, showing de Forest transmitter, receiver and other equipment. The Radio Telephone Company (which evolved in May 1907 from the de Forest Radio Telephone Company) went bankrupt in 1911. On back: "A corner of the Radio Telephone Laboratory and Work Shop of Dr. Lee de Forest - 1907, 103 Park Ave., New York City" "Tyne - Box 32" written in bottom right corner on back of photo, suggesting the photo may have originally come from Gerald Tyne.
