Photograph caption dated November 21, 1949 reads, "Gus March of Basilone Homes, Sun Valley, and Gus Mueller, Burbank, both sanitation inspectors at Valley Health Department station, spread poison biscuits at Kester Ave. dump, Van Nuys, in rat extermination drive. Men also visited DeGarmo dump in Pacoima. Poison kills only rats."
