Photograph article dated August 24, 1961 partially reads, "Exotic house pets - leopards, cheetahs and lions - will be shown by Valley members of the World Pets Society Sunday at the San Fernando Recreation Center, 300 Park Ave. 'We want to show people these animals aren't anything to be frightened of,' said Mrs. Jan Giacinto, 19400 Santa Rita St., Tarzana, spokesman for the group. 'They can be raised in homes with other house pets and also with children,' she added." Photograph caption reads, "Jana Giacinto, 11, Tarzana, cuddles with pet cheetah. They will enter Valley's unusual animal show Sunday."
