Photograph was edited for publication purposes Robert William Prescott was born in Texas on May 5, 1913. He was an ace with the Flying Tigers in World War II and went on to found the Flying Tiger Line, the first scheduled cargo airline in the United States. He died on March 3, 1978.; Anna Chennault, born in 1925, is the widow of Lieutenant General Claire Lee Chennault. She was a journalist, and later worked as a publicist for the Civil Air Transport in Taipei, Taiwan and was vice-president of international affairs for the Flying Tiger Line. Lieutenant General Chennault (1893-1958) was an American military aviator best known for his leadership of the American "Flying Tigers" and the Republic of China Air Force in World War II Photograph caption dated September 28, 1962 reads "Describes friend." Article partially reads "Mrs. Anna Chennault, author of 'A Thousand Springs,' is an attractive and astute woman totally devoted to her children and to the cause of Nationalist China, according to a Valley veteran of the Flying Tigers."
