Photograph was used for an article dated February 19, 1957. This structure served the community until November 1993, when service was reinstated in a bookmobile located at 8040 Foothill Blvd. A new $2.2-million Sunland–Tujunga Branch opened September 30, 1995. The Sunland-Tujunga Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, located at 7771 Foothill Blvd. This 4,578-square-foot facility opened to the public on Monday, July 28, 1952.
