Description
"This is Shelter Cove, the former Riverview Yacht Club property, after dredging of silt and construction of dock space. The cove was abandoned about 16 years ago and the joint venture which purchased the property -- for $150,000 two years ago -- found it built up with silt. Dredging work, to about six feet below the river's lowest level, was done by Erickson Construction Co. The improvements include the 48 covered boat berths within the cove itself and two parallel, 600-feet docks of compartmentalized concrete ... This view is looking easterly, form the Yolo County side, across the Sacramento River. On the opposite shore is the Discovery Park boat launching ramp and dock. Part of the Jibboom Street Bridge, which crosses the American River, can be seen in distance at right ..."
