Yorba Adobe on Rancho Canada de Los Alisos, 1936. Adobe is visible with paint peeling on the side. Windows are visible including the loft window. Another building or frame addition is visible on the left. Its location: "under a little point of hill overlooking the ocean at the mouth of the San Juan River." "The walls have been disturbed very little, however, but there are wings made of lumber, to the west." Boca de la Playa was a small ranch claimed by San Juan Capistrano Mission and granted to Emigdio Vejar. It was used by the Mission in the hide and tallow trade. In 1936 it was occupied by a daughter of Pablo Pryor, the wife of Miguel Yorba.
