W. P. A. Adobes vol.
So. view of the Scully adobe in 1935. The roof is missing as well as some of the walls. A home is visible in the background through what may have been a doorway on the right. This was home to Maria de Jesus, a daughter of Don Bernardo Yorba. She was the wife, by second marrige, of Thomas J. Scully. This was a small adobe that faced south. It "had wings and court to the north and beyond, an adobe corral, where there was a well and a small winery." It was located "...on the point of the hill just north of the upper Santa Ana Bridge." It was on Rancho Canon de Santa Ana.
