Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by early owner Jacobus Bertolemy in a 1490 Boethius. Annotations consist of marginal indexical notes throughout the text as well as longer notes on the blank endpapers. Some of these notes have been partially trimmed in binding. There are also several places where more modern manuscript annotations appear in the margins.
Condition: Bound in contemporary leather, partially restored, over wooden boards. Restored leather and metal clasps. The clasps chased with initials "MA" ("Maria" clasps). Title and author written on fore edge. Parchment label on spine and rear cover.
