Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by Sir John Dolben on the 1752 edition of the collection poems of Anthony Alsop. A friend of Alsop, Dolben heavily annotated this volume with glosses on the text and with longer biographical notes about Alsop. A later hand also annotated the volume and is likely that of Dolben's grandson, Sir John English Dolben.
Condition: Bound in contemporary calf.
