Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by an unknown (but clearly Royalist-leaning) reader in a copy of John Vicars's England's worthies. Annotations consist of often scathing captions to the engraved portraits of parliamentary leaders or at the end of their biographies.
Condition: Bound, by F. Bedford, in later red morocco, panelled in gilt with armorial stamp of William Henry Miller on both boards, marbled endpapers.
