Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by François Louis Jamet in his 1726 copy of the M. Laveur translation of Petronius's Histoire secrette de Neron. Annotations consist of copious marginal notes on the text as well as heavy underlining of the text. There are also long handwritten passages related to the text on the preliminary and end blank leaves.
Condition: Bound in contemporary green morocco, boards ruled with fleurs-de-lis and with bead, oval, and diamond shape tools, gilt spine and turn-ins; marbled endpapers. All edges red.
