Kimball was a pioneer California hotel man and former manager of the Beverly Hills Hotel. He also managed the Clift Hotel in San Francisco, the Hollywood Hotel in Florida, and the Preston at Swampscott, Massachusetts. He died in San Francisco following a short illness.
