Photograph, from left to right, of Nella West, Charles (Chas) Rucher and Louise Ambrose sitting in their carriage that is drawn by two horses. The carriage is stopped in the middle of a dirt road. It is oriented towards the right. The horses stand on the right and the carriage sits on the left. In the carriage, Nella and Chas sit in the rear seats and Louise sits in the front seat.
Text from negative sleeve: 405. Devils Gate, 1899. Charlie Rucher, Nella West, Louise Ambrose and I go to Devils Gate with a livery rug, thru Pasadena, then back home after lunch thru Lamanda Park and Baldwin's Ranch. We drove down Orange Grove Ave., Pasadena. Two negatives of mansions on Orange Grove. The rig, and L to R: Nella West and Chas Rucher in rear seat. Louise Ambrose in front. 3 negatives.
