Park with benches, trees, and pedestrians. It may be Boston Common or the Public Garden. There are streetlamps throughout, as well as women walking with strollers.
Text from negative sleeve: 424. Eastern trip, 1914. Massachusetts. Boston and vicinity. 12 pictures of skaters on the ice in the ponds on the Common in Boston. One of these is the celebrated "Frog Pond" that the school boys used to skate no during the revolution, and General Gage's soldiers broke the ice so they could not skate, and a delegation of boys called on General Gage and complained and he stopped the breaking of the ice. 12 negatives.
