Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of orchard workers standing among crates and tables to package oranges in Whittier. Their work area is set up at the edge of an orchard and on the left side of a dirt road. Dozens of crates, which read, "FAY FRUIT CO." stand stacked up to 5 crates high in the middle of the image left-of-center. The heads of workers can be seen behind the crates. A table covered in oranges juts out from behind the stack of crates. Another packing area stands behind that with a couple of people working around piles of orange crates. A low table with oranges (left) and fruit crates (right) jut into the foreground near the image's corners. The orange orchard expands into the distance. Text from negative sleeve: 600.
