Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a couple walking down a path along the rim of Crater Lake. They and the landscape appear to be slightly tilted. The pathway extends from the lower right and curves into the distance. A fork branches off of it at right and then merges with the path at center, where the couple stands. The couple stands in the near distance at center. They walk arm in arm with their backs to the camera. The woman stands leftmost and the man, rightmost; both turn their heads to the right. A low, stone wall lines the right side of the pathway. To the right of it, tall pines stand. Pines dot the landscape in the distance at left. Patches of snow are visible on the ground in the distance. Text from negative sleeve: 1612. Yellowstone trip 1942. Wednesday, July 1, 1942. 1. Crater Lake. Snow everywhere.
