Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A tilted photograph of France L. Wells' apartment building in Big Bear Lake. Tall grasses and weeds have overgrown the front yard in the foreground. A clearing surrounded by rocks sits in the middle of the yard. From it, a walkway extends back towards the house. The house stands in the near distance at center and appears to tilt down to the left. Two windows sit beneath a steeply pitched roof at the center of the dwelling. On each side, an entrance juts forward and to the side of the building. Each has a small porch and front door that faces the other. A window with a scalloped planter sits on the front facing side of each of the apartments. In the background at left, a barn-like structure stands behind the apartment.
