Passengers stand on the top deck of the S. S. Catalina while en route to Catalina Island. Dozens of passengers stand clustered together in the foreground on the top deck of the S. S. Catalina ferry. They occupy the bottom half of the image and all generally face towards the left. Some rigging rises from the deck at left, behind the crowd. Low mountains stand in the distance at left.
