Description
Scope/Content: An oral history of Aliyeah Navarro, who was born in 1997 in Santa Maria, California. She began studying fashion and design at the University of North Texas (UNT) in 2020. Navarro has been a pescatarian since 2015. Aliyeah’s connection to the UCI Stories from the Sea Oral History project is that she grew up on the West Coast. In the interview, Navarro discusses her lifestyle as a pescatarian and how growing up on the West Coast affected her pescatarian lifestyle. In addition, she offers her opinions about the popularity of aquariums, fishing, and seafood restaurants on the coast.
