Description
Scope/Content: An oral history with Diana Pena, who is from Lynwood, California. She attended UCI and during her time there she began interning for the Orange County Coastkeeper. Shortly after graduating in 2012, she became Orange County Coastkeeper’s Education Director and is now their current Deputy Director. During her interview, Pena discusses her work at Orange County Coastkeeper and the programs they offer for K-12 students, such as kids Ocean Day. She mentions a few of her favorite moments working with young students and the curious questions they have for her. She expands upon the County Coastkeeper and their use of an online platform due to the pandemic. Pena elaborates on her passion for the environment and it's protection.
