Description
Colman writes to the manager of Covent Garden from Brompton Square regarding an upcoming play. Colman indicates that the manager should omit some expressions that do not properly mention Heaven or scriptural allusions. He mentions several actors that would not be able to morally justify the phrases, and suggests that these phrases appeared in the source play for "Assignation," the piece they are working on. Letter appears to have been pierced through at some point. Possible remnants of wax on fourth page of letter. Colman signature appears on first page.
