Photograph article dated November 8, 1949 partially reads, "The lost 'Book of Lamech' a Biblical tale which wasn't included in the Bible, remained hidden 2000 years in a cave near the Dead Sea and then was nearly destroyed by modern-day goatherds. Then traders brought the tattered leather scroll to Dr. John C. Trever, brother of Rev. Winston Trever of the Burbank First Methodist Church. Dr. Trever told a Valley audience last night how the lost scroll, one of the great documents of Biblical history, was identified at the American School of Oriental Research in Jerusalem."
