Bust-length portrait.
1990-1649.
Sarah Pierce Rhoads was born in Edgar County, Illinois in 1830, came overland to California in 1846. Was part of the emigrant party of which Donner Party was a part, led by Caleb Greenwood. Married William Daylor in 1847 and William Robinson Grimshaw in 1851. Lived on Daylor's Ranch on Cosumnes River, Sacramento County. Died in 1898.
