Instructor George Vaughan watches Gerald Hoffman of Burbank, left, 16, and Don Crenshaw of Van Nuys, 15 as they shoot rifles at the Angeles Shooting Club Range in Marek Canyon. The two boys were part of 130 Southern California Junior Rifle Shooters who met at the quarterly event where junior boys and girls fire .22 caliber rifles and earn certifications and awards. Photograph dated May 11, 1961.
