Shows line of horse- and mule-drawn wagons, loaded with dirt atop levee, orchard in background. McCurry no. 6006 -- view 2 (2010-1614). Shows horse team pulling machinery to dig up dirt, line of horse-drawn wagons atop levee hauling soil in background. McCurry no. 6031 -- view 3 (2010-1615). Shows wagons on levee, women and child observing in foreground. McCurry no. 6016 -- view 4 (2010-1616). Shows horse-drawn machinery loading soil into wagons. McCurry no. 6013. Also have negatives: no. 26,874 (view 1, 4x5 in.), 26,875 (view 2, 4x5 in.), 26,876 (view 3, 4x5 in.). West Sacramento Company incorporated in 1910 for purpose of developing land west of Sacramento River. Between 1910 and 1913 completed reclamation project that included construction of levees, irrigation system, roads. In 1911 organized area as Reclamation District 900.
