Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 6, 1954 reads, "Flood control engineers are proud of this new bridge being constructed to cross Bull Creek where it cuts diagonally across the intersection of Hayvenhurst avenue and Lassen street, Sepulveda. Both streets will intersect in the center of the bridge, which makes it unusual, engineers say. This view looking northerly across a section of the bridge also shows workmen in background laying concrete lining in Bull Creek channel. On bridge checking map is W. T. Shockley, construction inspector. To right is K. G. Pierce, foreman, checking his blue prints." The caption incorrectly identifies the location of the bridge as the intersection of Hayvenhurst Avenue and Lassen Street. The correct location is the intersection of Hayvenhurst Avenue and Plummer Street.
