Description
Photograph caption dated October 7, 1947 reads, "One of French Canada's famous statues, the Cape de la Madelaine's Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, was placed in the altar of St. Joseph's Catholic Church today where children of the parish school were the first to view it. The statue came with 120 pilgrims in a special train after being viewed by 2,500,000 people in Canada as a move to stimulate the saying of the Rosary."
