Photograph caption dated January 18, 1963 reads, "James M. Sutton, left, of the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Dept., and George F. Shipley of the Campo de Cahuenga Memorials Assn., dust off the name plaque at the gate to the Campo de Cahuenga Memorial, 3919 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, in preparation for the 13th annual observance Sunday of the signing of the Treaty on Cahuenga. The public is invited to attend the 2 p.m. event at the memorial site, where the treaty between Mexico and the United States was signed in 1847."
