Elisabeth Waldo was born on June 19, 1918 in Yakima, Washington. She is is an authority on pre-Columbian music and an award-winning composer and violinist. Photograph caption dated April 21, 1960 reads "Elizabeth (sic) Waldo tunes up Apache Indian violin for music lecture at Valley Center of Arts. At her feet are other instruments found in South America including slit drum, conch shell and square drums." Miss Waldo lives in Northridge.
