Description: This grotto on the grounds of the College of Notre Dame is a replica of the famous Lourdes Grotto in France. The grotto contains a statue of the Virgin Mary sitting a base of serpentine and chalcedony stones mined in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The grotto was constructed in 1886.
