Description
Frances Hesselbein introduces Peter Drucker for the CEL/Drucker conference. Drucker says that the nonprofit social sector has been more innovative than the government over the last 30 years, and that innovation changes performance capacity. He talks about philanthropy and Andrew Carnegie, and says that using philanthropy for change is uniquely American. Drucker says that before WWI, very few people lived in cities, and that cities have never been civilized. He discusses why cities could not be communities, and how community can be made. Drucker goes on to answer questions from the audience. The video ends with the lecture in progress.
