He has a handlebar moustache and a receding hairline with short curly hair. He is wearing a jacket over a light shirt. He is turned to his right. "The remains of Col. J.D. Lynch were laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery at noon today. The pallbearers -- G.W. Burton, Harry Chandler, C.C. Desmond, Richard Dillon, John Kennedy, and C.H. Hall." -- newsclipping, 29 March 1907.
