Photograph caption dated August 12, 1957 reads, "A set of Valley Times Junior Classics, now complete in all 12 volumes, is presented by the Valley Times to Vernon Carter, principal of the new Bouquet Canyon Boys Camp Schools, Saugus. The set serves as nucleus to start school library. Carter, right, accepts books from John Black, of the Valley Times promotion department."
