Description
Image of a wooded glen, the monument to the 28th Pennsylvania Infantry to the left in the distance. A path runs through the woods along the right of the image.
The original monument on Slocum Avenue was dedicated by the State of Pennsylvania in 1885. One of the numerous monuments erected on the Gettysburg battlefield to honor the soldiers who fought and died in this decisive battle. For another view, see photCL 304 (08).
