Former Hollywood Legion Stadium boxing promoter, Jackie Leonard with his 2-year-old Boxer, Taffy, at his home located at 11474 Strathern St., North Hollywood. Leonard became an outcast after being a witness for the prosecution in the Frankie Carbo trial. Carbo, an alleged underworld czar of boxing, and four confederates had been convicted of extortion and conspiracy. They had tried to muscle in on the earnings of ex-welterweight champion Don Jordan by threatening Leonard, former Hollywood Legion Stadium promoter, and Jordan’s manager, Don Nesseth. Carbo lost. Now Leonard, his blonde wife, Jeanne, and 14-year-old Jackie Jr. are contemplating moving because of harassment toward the entire family at all hours of the day and night.
