"Buschhotel in der Landschaft Usangu an der Kap-Kairo-Strasse." ("A bush hotel in the Usangu plain next to the Cape-Cairo road."). The hotel is a white-painted brick building with a thatched roof. On the right in front of the building: a car. One man is sitting inside, another standing beside the car, a third person just getting in. Ernst Waldner (1898-?) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa. He married Julie Friederike Ebinger.
