Photograph caption dated January 11, 1964 reads, "Twelve-year-old James La Fayette shows 3-year-old French miniature Chrie one of her eight pups that was born Sunday. The eight - all apricot colored - are a California record for being of a single color. The dog, owned by Oliver La Fayette of North Hollywood, had seven pups in its first litter. She weighs 16 pounds."
