Description
Republican mural, Islandbawn Street/Falls Road, West Belfast, 1983. Mural detail: depicts IRA Volunteers in 1916, left (rural setting), and 1982, right; centre top, Gaelic, 'Oglaigh na hEireann' (IRA); centre, Irish Tricolour with the Lark of Freedom; centre bottom, 'Saoirse' (Freedom). Bottom, 'We Are Here To Stay'. Originally painted in 1982 this mural was restored in 1983 after paintbomb damage.
