Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 16, 1948 reads, "Hay continues burning after stable at noted Rolling Hills farm is razed." The article partially reads, "The landscape at Walter J. McCarty's spacious Rolling Hills stud farm in Chatsworth was charred today as a result of a spectacular fire which narrowly missed destruction of six famed race horses. Defective wiring was tentatively listed as the cause of the blaze which destroyed a barn, stables and several farm vehicles at the wealthy real estate broker's estate at 20245 Devonshire st."; See images #00114890 through #00114891 for all photos in this series.
