Description
Laura begins the interview talking about her personal experience with the jury selection process and serving as a juror for a murder trial that backgrounds her novel. For the majority of the interview, Laura and Connie discuss the characters and plot in detail and Laura’s efforts to realistically portray the intricacies of the trial system. Finally, Laura discusses wanting people to understand the laborious nature of the trial system in America and how it, ultimately, protects the rights of people living in the United States.
