Photograph caption dated September 4, 1956 reads "Awaiting their turn to march in Legion Parade are members of American Legion Post 464, Manila. From left are Paul Garcia, commander; William F. Hill, 20th District Commander; Paul Vidal, Janet Icamin, Janet Bernardino and Lusa Tenchavez." The American Legion held its 38th annual national convention in Los Angeles. The parade route through University Park followed Figueroa Street, Jefferson Boulevard and South Coliseum Drive, ending with a celebration in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.; See images #00145661 through #00145664 for all photos in this series.
