Businesses include: Capitol Barrel House, Lyric Theater, Hotel Coloma. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. "2nd & Kay street. Looking East. Western Hotel, left, erected first in 1853. Present building erected in 1875. Old Pioneer Fruit Co., right in 1902. Called "Morse Rooms" in 1881.
