Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. Jon Lindeman is a native of Winters, California. Of German and Mexican origins, his interest in agriculture led him to a degree in Agriculture from Cal Poly Pomona. With the draft in effect, Lindeman went off to Officer Candidate School, jump school, the 82nd Airborne and then a MACV Ranger unit near the Cambodian border.
