Description
David Wallechinsky discusses the book he co-wrote with members of his family, “The Book of Predictions.” He beings by explaining that he began The People’s Almanac series with his father Irving Wallace, and that this book is a continuation of that project. He talks about his love of trivia, statistics, reference books, and encyclopedias as a child. He describes how a team of researchers compiles information, which is then given to freelance writers for the book. Wallechinsky discusses various predictors throughout history including Nostradamus. He divided the predictions in the book into three sections, from: various contemporary specialists, psychics, and historical evidence. He ends the interview by discussing how he wrote the book with his family, despite occasional differences and arguments.
