Photograph article dated October 3, 1957 partially reads, "A unique design for combining the useful aspects of a laundry room with the comfort and luxury of a guest and family room has won for Mrs. Barbara Bell Morris, of Pacoima, a trip to Washington, D.C. as delegate to the Congress on Better Living. With the full co-operation of her husband, Manuel, a civil engineer, she set about the redesigning project shortly after moving into her new home at 9891 Mercedes Ave., Pacoima."
