Description
Father Eugene Frilot contemplates the quake's damage to the 165-year-old chapel at Mission San Fernando. The chapel, also damaged in 1812 quake but later repaired, is still thought vulnerable to collapse from a possible aftershock. Thirteenth century statues toppled and broke but can be recovered.
