Description
Returning servicemen at De Anza Hotel- Shirlie Montgomery photo. Caption:" Members of VP14 on R & R leave at Moffett Field.When these sailors returned from the Pacific they spent a short time readjusting to civil life before discharge and this group was adopted by the De Anza Hotel Staff and vice versa. San Jose was known as a great leave town for service personnel because of the friendliness of it's residents and many servicemen returned here after the war."
